Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
A chopper hovering near a crowded coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as onlookers looked on.
Recordings shared on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
